Professional Advanced Reflexology

Program: Foot Module
Reflexology is a complementary therapy that involves manipulating the feet, hands and ears to relax and increase the circulation to any part of the body. The objective of this program is to give clear guidelines for the student to achieve a level of professional competency in the field of Reflexology.

MODULE 1
We will go into the theory and concentrate on the practice of foot reflexology and endeavor to understand and practice the basic ideals and techniques, as well as the definition, benefits, effects and theories, and how it relieves stress and tension. Through hands-on practice we will be well versed with the reflex points in the feet that correspond to every area of the body. Upon completion, you will be able to complete a foot reflexology session on a client. Setting up a reflexology business and practice at a professional level are also studied. Course materials provided. 20 Classroom Hours.

MODULE 2
In module 2, we will study human anatomy, system disorders and how to work on them. Referral areas, foot conditions and contraindications are explained. This module concentrates on preparing you to write the Professional Reflexologist Provincial Certification Exam for the Reflexology Association of B.C. (If the Student chooses upon completion of the course to join the RABC and write the exam they must complete 60 Reflexology sessions on their own). Course materials provided. 20 Classroom Hours.

About the instructor: Ron Leibel – RABC Approved Reflexology Teacher. Ron has instructed Reflexology Courses since 2002 at Langara College, Vancouver School Board, Kwantlen University College, Surrey College, Vancouver Community College, North Shore Continuing Education, Burnaby Continuing Education, Port Moody Community Services, Coquitlam Continuing Education, West Vancouver Community Learning, Metro College and Advanced Reflexology Institute. He was President of the Reflexology Association of British Columbia for 6 years and is currently on the board of directors. He has practiced full-time reflexology since 1993.
